I knew insurance claims look some time and waiting. The receptionist insist she was filling out the form on the phone and would be sent out the next business day. The late part of November I called AGAIN to figure out why this claim hasn't been put through. I was given a different answer every time I called on the proper procedure to follow.

I had called ten times between the time the claim should have been filed to the time the claim was filed. I called the insurance company to verify the claim had been processed. Since the claim wasn't filed in proper time the insurance company was going to make the exception and allow the claim to go through. I had since called my primary insurance company to follow through with the claim. I received the same bill a couple of months later. I gave them my insurance information again and left. I found this odd considering I had two insurance companies, why was I having to continue to pay? I found out they had only been filing with one insurance company. I had another cleaning again in 2013 and was being told insurance wasn't going to pay. I was required to pay $100.00 since insurance wouldn't pay. I called the office manager in our Farmington Valley Office and she did confirm that there was an additional charge that was posted after the patient left. When I left the office I receiced a rceipt that said paid in full. I wasn't asked to perform a periocheck nor was I asked to approve the fee prior to the procedure therefore I should not have to pay for the service.Desired Settlement: I would like the bill I received to ZERO. When asked why I should pay for this service when I didn't approve first she said because I was already billed. I asked why I wasn't told about this fee during my appointment she said because it's just something the hygienist do by habit. When I called to speak with the office manager I was told the old insurance policy covered one of my procedures (a periocheck) which it is no longer covered and now I must pay. Two weeks later I received a bill in the mail for an additional $45. At the end of my appointment I was asked to wait an additional 15 minutes so the front desk staff could total up my bill which I then paid in full. During each procedure that had to be done I asked the fee and approved prior to starting. Very underhanded.Review: I went in for a cleaning my insurance only covers only a partial amount of each procedure. When my daughters father took their voicemail to the office manger Greg and requested our $150 be returned there was a verbally altercation and no apology or admission of wrong doing. They are crooks and I would seriously caution you if choosing to use them. In fact not only was the tooth in position but anesthesia wasn’t even used on my daughter to expose the tooth. Went to 2 other consults and not only didn’t my daughter need any fancy X-rays because the tooth was clearly in position but no other offices charged a consultation fee. Day of the appt they take my daughter to get a 3D X-ray image on their new very expensive machine and charge me $150 for the X-ray saying it was necessary because they needed to be sure of the position of the tooth and of course it’s not covered. I received a voicemail confirming that all X-rays and consultation fees for my daughters consultation would be covered by my insurance company.

Greg went out of his way to deal with our dental insurance company to maximize our return.Īs I have said, this is a professional office, from reception to finance to medical care. All financial costs were clearly outlined and choices about procedures examined. As a patient who has spent a large sum of money as an investment in our mouths, I must question that review. I must admit that I read a review that claimed a problem with Greg and financial arrangements. This is a surgical practice that can be very proud of itself. Capuano is caring and very friendly, but more importantly, a skillful and high quality surgeon. Capuano is friendly, kind, but extremely knowledgeable. Deb greets you in the front and is always pleasant and accommodating. I state that the office is very professional. Therefore, we saw the office over hectic days and easy days. I state this because our experience was not a one-time visit, but many, many visits. This required work was performed over several months. The work on my wife’s mouth was extensive because it required bone grafting prior to the implants. While my work was less extensive, we both agree that the level of care was of the highest professional level.
